"haklesup" - Re: Effective Air Oderizers ?? - The human mind learns to ignore things like strong smells once you get used to it, perhaps you have desensitized yourself to air fresheners. ANything with scent will need to be replenished often. Manufacturers depend on these things to sell more air fresheners. To save money try growing some aromatic herbs in your garden . Rosemary grows fast and is very powerful for example ...

Dick - Re: Water treament solution, which is best - We have used Sears softeners since the mid-60's. They are excellent softeners. Whatever you get I would suggest you get one that determines when to regenerate based on usage. Saves on salt. Figure on around $500 plus plumbing. You can buy a reverse osmosis filter for around $150 from places like Costco, Home Depot, etc. and put it in yourself. Not difficult. Watts and GE are go...

"AutoTracer" - Re: Installing a kitchen exhaust fan - My city wants a $138 plan check fee, $98 mechanical permit and $58 fee for inspection of a ducted kitchen or bathroom exhaust fan.
