The stove dealer sells metal chimneys and said they were safer than masonry chimneys. They are cheaper but he makes money off them so it is hard to know if metal chimneys are safe. Had a chimney fire with a fireplace and masonry chimney - noisey and lots of sparks and fire exiting the top of the chimney but no problems. ... |
