ransley@webtv.net (m Ransley) - Re: French drain odor - I pour a gallon of bleach in my sump pit if I notice any odors, bleach kills mold. Turn off the pump, fill the pit fill and add a gallon or 2 for a few hours. Perhaps your basement walls or floor have mold also, spraying bleach in a garden sprayer is an easy way to kill it. Maybe you also need a dehumidifier, it wont help the sump but will help the basement. Covers of different styles ...

ransley@webtv.net (m Ransley) - Re: Trim Painting Plan - Do repairs first, sand repair holes and spot prime , no need to sand the factory primer for latex. For a high quality finish spot prime with Ben Moore Enamel Underbody and sand with 220 all wood without going through to wood and finish with Ben Moore Satin Impervo oil, that will give a brushless finish a good painter will achieve. Latex leaves brush marks. . ...
