I am located in Myrtle Beach, SC. Average well insulated new homes here go 800 to 1000 square feet per ton. Average reasonably insulated retrofit goes 600 to 800 square feet per ton. Hold a brick between your knees and tap, tap, tap downwards towards your feet. Get it? Easy does it. Most of the old mortar will give and fall right away. No need to have the surface clean as a new brick. Just get enough of the surface exposed for a new bond. A good rinse with water and a bristl... |
