"Old_boat" - Re: Replacing furnace with heat pump - FYIW Fred I have been watching your thread also because I want to do pretty much the same thing on my one floor ranch house with an oil furnace. I will watch with interest to the posts that come up. It is too bad that there are so many people out there that if they have nothing good to say they have to resort to name calling and bad language. Good luck with your endeavor. Larry ...

"Fred" - Re: Replacing furnace with heat pump - Thanks for all the good advice. Any more info would be appreciated! I'm asking for plenty of free advise on replacing a furnace with a heat pump. I'm trying to get an idea of the size, what's a good model, and some basic knowledge before I go out for bids. I can do some of the minor work, but would prefer for a pro to do most of it. kmoiarty35@shaw.ca - Wet clay soil unsuitable for deck foundation, or not? - As I've mentioned previously in other threads, I'm in the process of building a deck. At the moment, I've just dug holes 5 feet into the ground in preparation for pouring concrete pier-columns (the foundations which my deck will rest on). However, as soon as these holes were dug I noticed they would partially fill up with water, seeping in from the surrounding (clay) soil). I've drain...

FraudBusters@hotmail.com - Re: Looking for unhappy Lindal Cedar Homes dealers or customers - Well.. I can certainly understand your point of view, however I would expect you would change you mind if you were one of Lindals unfortunate customers. What appears as a vendetta is a call to customers (or dealers) who may not realize there are more of them than they think and by banding together they not only have a voice but quite a bit of leverage over what first appeared to be ...
