I asked this same question a few months ago and got blasted, told I was a hack, call a professional, etc..etc.... Anyway I'll tell you what I did. I installed a 13SEER Goodman heat pump. I replaced the whole system. The condensing unit sits right outside my bedroom window and I can't hear it. It has a scroll compressor (very quiet) and it is wrapped with a... |

] [ 154466 ] [ alt.building.construction ] [ view full article ] "Nehmo" - Wood Staricase Repar, How? - I have an ornate wood interior staircase that is several decades old. Many of the railing joints are loose to one degree or another, and I'm going to make them more solid. It would be chore to disassemble & reassemble the entire railing assembly to repair, so I'm trying to come up with another method. I've never done this, but is it a reasonable idea to drill holes, say 3/16" diameter,... |
