"AutoTracer" - Re: window conundrum - This may not be the problem for you but you should check to make sure the weep holes at the bottom of the window are not sealed. Many windows have this intentional hole that lets trapped water escape. If it is plugged, the water pools until it spills out of the cahannel onto wherever you do not want it to go. wrote in message ...

ransley@webtv.net (m Ransley) - Re: garage epoxy-moisture question - Cleaning concrete is not easy especialy old concrete for paint to take tire wear. A powerwasher alone wont do it. First you need to degrease and wash it with the strongest chemicals-soaps. Using a floor scrubber is best, then powerwash. Then follow by an acid wash. Then dry . Then test for permeability, then dry. again. Ive had my 2 men spend a day just cleaning, . Paint is the easy par...

tbasc@bellsouth.net - Deck Topping - Has anyone a suggestion? A contractor with whom I'm working is recommending a waterproof material to top a deck - if only he could remember the name. He describes it as fluid applied, rubber like, and accepting residential foot traffic. I'm questioning local sources without luck so far. Can anyone suggest a brand or material type that might fit the contractor's description? ...

Bob, that only will work if it happens to work out evenly. One hallmark of professional layout for a ballustrade is that the ALL the spaces are even, including the last one. Al Palmer - repair of vinyl floor tile - We have some vinyl floor tiles that have been damaged and need to be removed and replaced. Any idea about how to get the old one's up? ransley@webtv.net (m Ransley) - Re: use AC to dry out/prevent mold? - AC condensors should not be run at low temps usualy below 60f or damage will eventualy occur. tbasc@bellsouth.net - Re: Basic Footer Question - The tree roots bother me too. Digging down and cutting them off might help fo a while. A carefully designed reinforced slab might "float" above the roots. It would probably tiip out of level eventually. Piers and a carefully designed reinforcing scheme might work, if the OP were willing to raise the level of the slab. What do you say Mr. Allison? TB . ...
