The blocks vary somewhat in their dimensions, so it was necessary to shim them to keep them level as I built up the piers. This has left cracks of 1/16" to 1/8", which I want to fill. Take a piece of copper wire (14-20 guage) wrap it around the pipe tightly as if coiling a spring.
