The law is designed to let people know where the line of "too far" is concerning abusive practices. Any clear thinking person understands a fiduciary relationship is in the customer or client's best interest. To operate in that position because "we are allowed to by law" is not a decision based on ethics, conscience...

Granting the developer a permanent easement could cause problems for you later on. An easement usually means that you give the developer permission to use part of your property, such as having to cross your poperty line to access the developer's property, or perhaps install a driveway ...
