"htimS boB" - Re: Are these normal issues with contractor's agreement? - Why don't you get your insurance money FIRST, then get a contractor. Are they not doing that? Get a contractor from your local yellow pages. I know first hand that LOADS of contractors are coming from all over the US to FL to repair from last year's hurricanes. May I ask why you waited a year to get your home repaired? Was it lack of contractors available? I wonder if your insur...

I currently heat about 2300 square ft and am thinking about putting on a 24x24 addition. Will I be able to use same system or do I need to upgrade? Any guesses? Thanks in advance for any help. . ...

"Harry Muscle" - Re: Refinished hardwood floor curing time ... - OK, I'm gonna try to call the manufacturer ... however in the mean time, here's some more information I pulled from the MSDS ... It's made by Torcan Coatings (www.torcancoatings.com) and it's called Gymnasium Satin. It's an oil modified polyurethane from the aliphatic hydrocarbon chemical family. It's 53% mineral spirts and 9% Silica Amorphous. I'm not sure if this info actually he...

"Clint" - Re: Refinished hardwood floor curing time ... - A lot of manufacturers put a toll-free number or website on their products; have you checked for that and given them a call? They'd probably be the "experts" on how long things take. Just a suggestion. Don't know if this is a problem or not - would sealing the tile surfaces which will be in contact with the setting bed and grout cause a reduction in adhesion to the point of being a problem. Don't know if silicone is used as a sealer but it also works as a release agent on forms. There are so many issues that o...

We had aluminum frame windows (with the "bronze" finish) on our first house, built in 1983. They held up very well, no rotting.
