"James Nipper" - Re: Good Garage Door Opener ? - I really doubt it is interference related. It has gone for five weeks now and not worked one single time. It works perfectly on the button, hard-wired control. It did this same thing about 3 months ago. Would not work for about a week (three different remotes would not work) , and then it worked again for 3 months until now. The universal remote looks like a good idea....

Boat_dreams - Re: Installing fiber-cement siding around/over gas/electric pipes - If there's a union handy, shut off the utility and fire up your hole saw for the cleanest fitup. Otherwise, hole saw first, then slot in with the circular saw. Save your dropoff and screw it back in place using a c. 22 ga. galvanized backing plate. Blend the surface with any "cementitious patching compound" per www.hardie.com. Good luck, Boat_dreams ---------------------- Dave...

"Harry" - Re: What are Heat Strips - Thank you, rider89, Why is there such a vast difference between the two shown units: as much as: one had 5KW (what does "KW" mean), while the other has 15 KW? "James \"Cubby\" Culbertson" - Re: Where can I shop for construction equipment (i.e. cement mixer) [Vancouver area]? - As much as I hate to say it, my little Harbor Freight mixer (3.5 Cu Ft.) mixer has done me just fine so far. That said, I've run about 4 cy through it without problems. I paid about $189 (USD) for it. I figured if it only lasts for several yards, then it did what I wanted it to do. I don't plan to pour much more concrete (or set adobe blocks in my case). Cheers, cc "K...

"Harry" - What are Heat Strips - Hello, There is such a significant difference in "heat strips", i think i should find out what are "heat strips"? There is a terrible difference, as you can see, in the following "heat strips": one is "5" and the other is "15". "Dave" - Installing fiber-cement siding around/over gas/electric pipes - I'm thinking of putting Hardie or Certainteed fiber/cement lap siding on my house. I'm pretty handy, but I've never installed siding before. On the side of the house where the pipes from the gas and electric meters pass through the wall, am I correct in assuming that I'll have to have a plumber and electrician come and disconnect the service(s), so that I can pass the aforementioned p...
