I've had a problem with a window for 15 years that's really driven me crazy. A rep of the manufacturer (Pella) was no help. Maybe someone here has some suggestions. In 1985 we spent a small fortune replacing our old wood windows with Pella metal clad casements. At first all was well, but after a few years I noticed that some leaked around the bott... |

I have a couple of questions that I am hoping you can help me with 1. My house is a 1925 craftsman bungalow with the original windows through out most of the house. Should I stick with wood since the house has wood siding? Will vinyl stick out like a sore thumb? 2. Is the tr... |

You can also use a moisture meter. Call rust Oleum, they will help best. But with moisture paint will fail, peel and be a future bigger mess. . ... |

And are you talking just profit, or overhead and profit? Now the numbers change for every type of configuration a company has (# of employees, amount of equipment, etc). For overhead and profit the accountants and trade publications annually write articles in trade mags trying to convince builders that in order to stay in business for the long t... |

Has a "slide hammer" handle that will help chip the tile up. Make sure it's not 9" X 9" Vinyl Asbestos tile before you do it though. If so, has to be abated as a toxic waste and not by a homeowner. If you break it up and use it, the Portland will not harden again. Throw the bag away and go to Home Depot and buy a bag. When you are done with it, throw that bag away. You might be able to get a broken bag for ½ price. -- JerryD(upstateNY) "Mike" |
