roger61611@yahoo.com - Re: Picking out a Ceiling Fan - I dn't know much about ceiling fans but - do you have one wall switch or two in place ? That is, one for lights and one for fan ? Or just one for the fan ? The wall switch can only do one or the other. You can also do the fan from the switch and I *think* the light with pullcord. Or get one that has a remote and forego all that. . ...

"wayne" - Re: Fix Kitchenaid Dishwasher or Replace with Bosch? - best to do nothing and just note it is not working and offer an allowance. As has been stated new owner may want a different color. You could install a Bosch and have someone look at the house that does not like Bosch and make it into a negative? Or they may never had heard of brand. Best to just let the buyer be aware and then you can negotiate the replacement or an allowance....

JR North - Re: Whirloop oven strange behavior of oven lights - While you would assume the switch just switches the current for the lamps, there is probably a transistorized circuit to do the switching, which is faulty. "LP" - Picking out a Ceiling Fan - I would like to replace the Casablanca ceiling fans in my living room because it seems the ones that came with the house (when I bought it), don't really throw the air much on high speed. I believe they are only 36" so I guess I would need 52" ceiling fans? I also would like light kits on the fan. What do I look for when purchasing a ceiling fan? It seems there is such a wide r...

Vicki Szaszvari - Re: How much should I have paid for a new furnace/AC? - You looked into local laws and regulations, right? For example, in Phoenix, Arizona, the limit for work by a NON-CONTRACTOR is $750, parts and labor. Go ahead and Google our Registrar of Contractors in Phoenix and ou'll see mug shots of those who have been busted for this. And $750 won't pay for much of a compressor changeout, certainly not one done the right way with evacuati...

"webmaker" - Re: When Is the Right Time? - You should probably talk to a realtor and do some research online to find out what the market is like and what it has been like. Stay away from an interest only loan or you really might end up losing money if you have to sell for less/same in a bad market. We just bought and don't know if we'll be here 2 or more years, but it's a Navy town so usually easy to sell a house. If you do buy c...

roger61611@yahoo.com - Re: playroom paint ideas needed - Because it's a kids room and because if you live there another 10 years you'll redo it anyway, I would not paint the fireplace or worry about the rafters, and just do whatever you feel like with the rest of it; basically ignore the fireplace altogether. Your kids won't care. I'd use light colors with playful accents. Another thing is (not sure how well this works on paneling, priming ...
