maarass@hotmail.com - Re: Red Stains in toilet bowls - Thanks for the reply. Iron I thought is more brown, mines more red then brown although the bolts in the tank are are oxidizing. The city is going to take a sample for me for now. I did take a sample down to a local pool supplier for a test. Chlorine, PH, Alkilne was normal, athough I don't know what normal is. I thought maybe it had something to do with new construction and all or that t...

"BP" - Re: Red Stains in toilet bowls - Get your water tested at an independent water testing lab. Everything else is just a guess. Sounds like you have town/city water (not a private well). Get a copy of their most recent tests also. Drink bottled water until you sort things out. Could be an algae, could be acidic water, could be iron. wrote in message news:1119903314.388043.256840@g47g2000c...

"RedFox" - Applying 18"x18" precast concrete pavers? - I have a backyard that I would like to pave with these 18"x18"x about 2" slabs and would like to know the best base. I'm thinking of 3/8" gravel to level the yard off - about 1" - 4" thickness. This would be tamped down and a 1" layer of sand placed over it. Finally the pavers would be placed on the sand and gently tamped into place. Is this realistic, or am I missing something? ...
