The cat paw rolled the nail upwards while pushing down on the regular pry bar beneath it. Most of the nails came out without pulling up any concrete with them. If you have to patch the holes anyway, why spend unneccesary time taking out the nails ? You could remove the strip very carefully and use a small high speed grinder to cut the nail off flush with the floor, but you would STILL have to go over each nail with patching compound and it would take the same 4-6 hours, when you could do it in 1-2 hours. -... |

I tried removing the wood carpet strip and a chunk of concrete came out with the anchoring nail. How do you remove these without destroying the surrounding concrete? TIA . ... |
