ma740988@pegasus.cc.ucf.edu - question - tub surround - Armed with a Home Depot - do it yourself - tile book, I embarked on a tile project which involved the shower walls of my guest bathroom. While all appears well at issue: For starters, the tiles extend below the 'vertical' piece of the tub surround that mates with the drywall. However, there's a 1/2 inch gap (measured worse case) between the tile and the horizontal edge of the ...

laslow_g@hotmail.com - Removing gummy carpet padding from wood floors. - I have an old (1912) house with pine or fir wood floors and I think shellac finish over stain. We just removed some ~20 year old carpet and padding, and the floor doesn't look too horrible, so we would like to preserve as much of the original finish as possible. We are using mineral spirits to remove the gummy pad stains, but it is not coming off too easily. We have about a 1x4' are...

trader4@optonline.net - Re: Can HOA take away my yard? - First, less address a general issue, that posters like Ted B, obviously don't understand. This situation involves a condo. Condos must have an association, because the property could not be run and managed without one. Condos have property and maintenance issues which are shared, ie roofs, walkways, snow removal, cutting grass, painting the exterior, parking areas, etc. Without a con...

"Robert J Carpenter" - Re: FM Antenna and Reception Problems - I suspect that your home FM radio is very insensitive. Car radios are usually very good since you drivee through all the worst-signal places. Your home radio is either a poor design or is sick. Sit it on top of your car and put a 19-inch wire on the "hot" antenna terminal. It should receive about as many stations as the car radio. If it doesn't, get a new home radio - it would likely...
