"Tecumseh" - Leak in Foundation wall - Hey all, There is a 8" deep circular channel the circumference of a dime that goes into my poured foundation wall.(from where the forms were used.) "Mark" - Vibrating pavers after rain? - I am finishing my paver installation today, but I don't think I'll have time to vibrate them into place. It's supposed to rain over the next few days. Is it OK to wait for things to dry out and _then_ vibrate them, or do I really need to get this done today? Also, any tips for vibrating pavers? I would like to avoid breakage. Should I lay down a piece of plywood between the pavers...

boat_dreams - Re: submersible pump problem.... - What kind of lost air recharge system do you have? The most common type, 'air bleed', requires two check valves--a foot valve on the submersible pump and check valve at the tank inlet. You know you have an air bleed system if there's a tire valve between the tank and well head. With this type system, if you just replace the foot valve and don't have a good check valve at the tank i...

linda@here.now - Paver installation over concrete patio - If any can help with info on this, thanks. My concrete patio slops down for rain runoff but slops too much I think. I want to put pavers down but will need to build up with sand over the concrete patio. At the furthest end of the patio it will need to be about 5 inches higher. So I am asking if part of the patio only has say 2 inches of sand and as I go out it get to be up to 5 inches...

"JerryD\(upstateNY\)" - Re: Best way to attach framing to steel beam - I don't see why this should cause squeaks in your floor. Squeaks are quite easy to fix if you can get to the underside of the floor. Stand on a ladder and have someone step on and off the floor where the squeak is, so you can locate it. Where ever the floor squeaks, put a bead of liquid nails along the joint of the flooring/joist or joist/beam. Try to get as much mastic into the join...
