"Rebecca" - Sticky label stain on leather sofa - help? - As our cat is rather partial to scratching the arms on our new (and expensive!) leather sofas we were recommended to try double sided sticky tape as arm protection when we went on holiday. This seemed to do the job. We had no problem removing the strips from 3 of the arms (they just peeled off anf didn't leave a mark) but one arm gets quite a lot of sun in the morning and this is...

nospambob - Re: Removing gummy carpet padding from wood floors. - Put a drop of alcohol on the floor and test it for softening in a few minutes to confirm it is shellac. If it is use alcohol to remove the shellac under the padding. Shellac and lacquer melt previous coats forming a single coat of finish unlike varnish that builds layers of finish as it doesn't melt previous coats. When floor is clean I'd use dewaxed shellac as the finish as it was us...

We went to the complex and talked to the other end unit owner, obviously, he is not aware of the HOA's action of removing the fences.
