Does anyone know of any sound barriers that can be palced around the units that can cut down on the noise but still let the air flow properly? I am thinking like something like a playpen but only padded that can be placed around the units. Thanks . ... |

Rustoleum would be a good choice. If you can mask off the area and spray it, that will give the best appearance. The drywall fastener will do a good enough job. If you didn't and your garage is not going to be converted into a living space then it's not worth it to reopen the drywall. One plumber, who also sells water heaters, told me he visited a manufacturer and found out that a water heater with the same specs, but with different length warranties is the exact same unit.
