Siding gets dirty and paint will not adhere well to dirt, with the result being it will peel off when the painter is long gone. Scraping only removes loose paint, not the dirt from the paint that is not coming off. There are some painters that prefer to hand wash rather than power wash, though that is more labor. I think... |

Can I get away with just painting over the concrete or do I need to patch these areas? If I need to patch them, does anyone have any pointers or links to pages with instru... |

Yes the years of re-repair have cost big bucks V no wonder you are divorced. Someone dares point out you may be falible and you bail. Great partner. I myself have been married to this sweet man that can't fix shit for 27 years. He does other things quite well indeed (maybe the other thing was actually your "short" coming) He actually told me not to water m... |

Reason I ask this is that I've got a few estimates from painting contractors for the exterior painting of my house and one person is charging about $1000 less than others (he's not a professional painter, and, he and his family do painting jobs on the side) and he says he will not pressure-wash the exter... |

The basement in the home is large, but only an unfinished partial. I plan on adding temporary living quarters with bed, TV, computer, etc after we move in so I'm planning on purchasing a dehumidifier. The basement does have a sump pump with a drain, so I will locate the unit next to the drain so it can empty itself. I've not... |

The asphalt driveway is then down by about another 1/... |
