"Never trust a truss" is what many firefighters say. When any of the support members of the truss are compromised the strength of the entire truss is compromised. Trying to build attic space in a web of truss supports isn't going to be easy. You'd probably have a safer project if you just put your shelving boards in th... |

I based the door out of particle board. If I prime the door and paint it I can still see the particle board pattern under the paint. What can I use to 'float' the door so I can get a smooth paint job outdoors? I'm assuming it's NOT OK to use joint compound or spackling (for use on indoor drywall... |

Iron I thought is more brown, mines more red then brown although the bolts in the tank are are oxidizing. The city is going to take a sample for me for now. Sounds like you have town/city water (not a private well). Get a copy of their most recent tests also. Drink bottled water until you sort things out. Could be an algae, could be acidic water, could be iron. |
