There isn't much call for it in the area- tons of hip hop, dancehall, reggae and soca, but never seen specifically salsa. I saw it from the beach near our hotel at 8th Street. I think you will have a wonderful time. You may have to decide how many amenities you will make use of if you plan to eat out in PdC a lot, since the cost difference between the European plan and all-inclusive was about 100%. We were on 5th Avenue at Hotel Maya Bric, very nice central location, very inexpensive. The food on 5th Avenue was hit or miss for being so pricey, but the laid back bars and beautiful beaches more than made up for it. And a quick burrito and cerveza or relaxing massage was very inexpensive one block back... |
