"Jim Donohue" - Re: Transaction broker / transaction agent? - If I remember correctly the TB relationships in Florida are a product of the machinations of FAR. Just because we have a code of ethics does not mean we are ethical in any absolute sense. This is the disclosure school of ethics...As long as you tell them you can't be trusted it is their own fault for trusting you. ...

"homan4" - Re: Transaction broker / transaction agent? - Just because something is legal does not mean you have to do it. The law is designed to let people know where the line of "too far" is concerning abusive practices. Any clear thinking person understands a fiduciary relationship is in the customer or client's best interest. To operate in that position because "we are allowed to by law" is not a decision based on ethics, conscience...

I think that if NAR and FAR were serious about Ethics, they would lobby state governments to not allow this type of non-agency relationship - I mean if the code of ethics really matters Transaction Broker and Non-rep should not be considered as an option by a NAR Brok...

wprien@yahoo.com - Re: Permanent Easement / Lot Line Adjustment - You should seek out a good real estate attorney on this question. I am not an attorney but a Realtor. Granting the developer a permanent easement could cause problems for you later on. An easement usually means that you give the developer permission to use part of your property, such as having to cross your poperty line to access the developer's property, or perhaps install a driveway ...
