Ferry engine broke in the Irish sea, wallowed for about 15 hours getting incredibly seasick. Knew we missed the train in Cherbourg, so me and my pal hitched a ride with a German guy on the ship; mad midnight ride across France, getting various Bistros opened long after they'd closed for wine and cheese and bread.
