RG, By "up-front fees", I was referring to any fees that your broker himself charges you to join his office, such as desk fees, Errors and Omission Insurance,etc. It has been my experience that it is best to avoid such brokers. If you were to join, say, an average Century 21 office(as I once did), you'd pay nothing at all to the broker to join the office. Of course, you'd have to pay your licensing fees, and you membership dues to your local mls board, and posssibly to the National Association of Realtors(NAR), but you will have to pay these no matter which broker you'd be working for. It is mainly the "desk fees or desk rentals" to watch out for, they are rarely worth it. 'Hope this helps! Darren darrenli516@yahoo.com . |
