Well, You didn't specify exactly what problems the neighbors were causing, but I wouldn't worry about it too terribly much if you have decided to sell your house. When you hire a Realtor to market the house, by all means tell them of the problems with the neighbors. Your Realtor is under no obligation(in most states, as far as I know) to disclose any info on the neighbors to any propspective buyers. The Realtor really only has to answer questions about the property for sale-your house. Not the area, the neighborhood,etc. Many states have the "Caveat Emptor" statute, meaning let the buyer beware. Buyers must do their own homework on the area(sex offenders closeby,crime rate, etc.) Many of these things are a matter of public record, and buyers should do their due diligence when purchasing a house. By all means discuss your concerns with your Realtor. Darren |
