There is no sense arguing with you whether I know the market or not. Knowing the market and paying what I think is a reasonable price for a property are not mutually exclusive factors. I do my homework, and I work out the comps, and sometimes I even pay an appraiser to do a pencil trace of a property to confirm my numbers, and that is what I do to derive what I think is a FMV of a particular property. And if someone from south america comes up and pay cash on a property who is asking 50K above FMV, there so be it. Does that make me bottom fishing? if you say so then it does. By that definition any buyer who does not get a deal done because of numbers was bottom fishing. I think you are trying to be helpful, so why insult people when you try to offer help?
