When you pay the deposit, you sign a contract to purchase the house. You can then sell the contract in 6-12 months time reaping the profit or you can complete on the property. This is off plan investment and the completion date is dependent on the whole development, it is nearly always greater than 6 months as for an investor you need time for the investment to grow. Should you decide to complete on the property then you have the guaranteed rental. The deposit is non-refundable, so selling the contract or the property once complete are your options.
