I recently moved, but was born and raised in Pensacola Florida. I always wondered why more people didn't sell their expensive homes in other parts of the country and live like a king there and in other parts of Florida. In 1995 I bought a new 4/2 2240 SF all brick home with underground utilities, and sidewalks for $109,900 with no closing costs. At the time, $90,000 would buy a great waterfront condo. Prices have gone up substantially. The friend I sold my house to reports it's worth $180,000. Even so, and relative to many parts of the country, it's still a bargain. . |
