Is that something you are prepared to live with in the future, flooding every other or every 3rd year? You are going to be dependent on flood insurance to fix this, and after a few claims, you will essentially be living off of flood welfare. Also, who knows which flood is going to result in mold getting started, or will backflow sewage into the place, or cause the ground to get saturated and your foundation shift.
