Buying in Braislava - the process?

Hi We are in the process of trying to buy a property in Slovakia, and are a little confused about the order in which things are supposed to take place.... Basically we have found an appartment in Bratislava (through a real estate agent - Royal Reality). We have made an offer, which we has been verbally accepted, but the agent is asking us to sign the Preliminary Contract (Plus 10% deposit), and she seems reluctant to give us time to get this looked at by a solicitor (and its in slovakian, so we don't understand it). To my mind we should need to check a few things before signing this - the content of the Pre-contract - the condition of the building - survey - the standard search - who owns it will it be demoloished to build a bypass etc Has anyone gone thorugh the montions of buying over hear, and if so, what order do things normally get done in. We would be very greateful for any info |
