Related to Original post and then galancing through the rest of the posts. I am myself a realtor which became realtor due to what you thought. I have not sold any house in my last 1.5 year career. Could not get a job with any broker first. I hired one realtor in Texas to buy a house for me. Learn and take the exam and you will appreciate more the real estate professionals than you do now. I treat Attroneys/Physicians/Politicians/Mechanics/Car Sales Men as lower in ethics higherarchy than Real Estate agents. Yes, compensation or commission for a Real Estate Agent is not transparent enough for some one to feel where is the money going. Take the exam and go for it and post your experience here, you will be a transformed man. No one stops you from buying yourself (since you know the market pulse) and selling yourself.
