Thanks John. I think that it seems to make sense (if buying buy-to-let property itself makes sense at the moment) to buy the first few myself and then move it to a company if I build up a bit of a portfolio. I am still completely split on whether the market supports buy-to-let purchases at the minute, or if I should wait a couple of months to see if prices drop. I am not after a quick book and am looking to build up a portfolio to keep for 20/30 years and then sell up.. so even if there is a drop over the next couple of years, as long as I can afford the mortgage payments then I can ride it out and in 20 or 30 years time, they can only have gone up in value, and if there is a crash... the rental market will boom. So to me, it looks like it is still a realistic prospect. But I am a novice, so probably comppletly wrong!!! Any thoughts? . |
