You would all be glad to know that I have taken your advice to heart. I realized last night just what Sausage said.....I can only afford what I can afford. In trying to explain that to my wife, I began to wonder how much of all of this is because of what she WANTS while I am paying the bills and she is at home. I explained to her that until she goes back to work, we are going to have to find something we can afford, and in the mean time, put money into something to build equity and turn a profit when she goes to work and we can afford what we want (with a second income). As far as 40K only being slightly more than minimum wage, you must live in CA or NY or somewhere like that. I don't think McD's or TB are paying that much here unless it is an employee with tenure or management position, regardless, when you compare 40K to salaries where you live then you are right....it is only slightly more than minimum wage. |
