I have found that many people suggest appraisers, but then when you talk to appraisers they say either that they don't have that type of information (because they did not perform any appraisals in that part of the city) or are leery to give it to you because they do not want to possibly be held accountable for a value for a home that they actually did not appraise. What I was hoping for was a source of historic home sales prices that I could consider "objective" (without having to go through the county recorder's office and sifting through public records by hand). . |
