hello all: i have had a problem for the past 11 months and have just now realized that i could have been using the usenet to search for my answers. here is my dilemma: i have a property for sale that i am having quite a hard time finding an appraiser to appraise it. because of its uniqueness, there are zero "comparables" not only in the city or the state, but also in the geographic region of the united states that this house (mansion/estate) is located. i have googled until my eyes started seeing the google logo everywhere. i have tried luxury real estate agents for info. i have tried southeby's real estate groups for help. alas...no help. what would be the proper/correct path to getting something like this done on a property that has never had an appraisal done (it was built by the current owner and the full construction cost was paid for by them so there was no "note" or bank involvement)? the house is being |
