Thanks, that's exactly what I needed. For any future flat spline people: 1) I got a pet screen, because a pet had ripped the original. The tougher screen definitely helped on installation, though - I probably would have ripped a weaker screen on a couple of my splining tool slips. I couldn't buy flat spline at any of the local box stores, so I reused the old spline rather than calling around to hardware stores or mail ordering. 2) I cut the corners at a 45 degree angle just inside the screen track with a utility knift, but left the rest uncut. 3) I ran the first spline just like Briz said, then pulled the screen |
