Good Faith Estimates question?

How much is the settlement costs on good faith estimate suppose to be close to? Maybe off $50 or $60 bucks? It seems to me that when it comes time to show the HUD statement for the prospective buyer to sign, it is like $200 to $300 more. I've noticed this occurring to my friends who have been buying homes. It has kinda thrown them off. Why can't it be more precise? How does a loan officer explain the GFE difference to the actual statement shown on closing day? Thanks. . |
