Sears washer repair 'problem'

Have a nearly 3 year old Sears 80 series super capacity plus washing machine. Porcelain tub chipped recently, so had it replaced under the extended warranty. This was last Monday. Did laundry yesterday, and I swear the tub is smaller. Go over to Sears and measure tubs in their current 80 series, and yes my tub is smaller (narrower). The part number from my parts list is not on their website; the part # on their website for my washer (as well as all the current washer) is supposedly what was installed. Is this their SOP (to replace original large tubs with smaller ones) or did they just make a mistake in the part? Anyone else here have a tub replaced? If so, was it smaller than what you had? I will definitely call them, but was curious if anyone had had same thing happened and what you did. thanks for you help and advice Quentin . |
