Any advantages / disadvantages of one over the other ?? When? Now or later? It's harder to convert from gas to woodburning (if it was originally built as gas), as the two require different type of chimney construction. Pro's and Con's are: 1.) Woodburning - generates lots of heat. Has real fire, not the imitation look of gas FP. Gives a nice warm smell throughout the house. Saves on energy bills in the winter. Requires cleaning (I clean mine after every 2 sessions) |
