I have signed a contract to buy a single-family house in Pennsylvania and am looking for home insurance. I am considering Travelers, Nationwide, and Allstate. Is there any web site, book, or magazine that rates insurers? I am not thinking mainly of financial strength but about whether a company tends to shortchange policyowners when paying claims or is known to hike rates substantially after claims are filed. It's easy to get rate quotes, but you can't really judge a company until it comes time to file a claim. . |
