Hello New homeowner. Current patio door (wood, sliding) has water damage and am planning to replace it now that summer is here... So far, I have come up with all sorts of door companies and types... Pella, Andersen... Vinyl, Wood, Aluminium, Steel... My layman understanding is that all I need is preferably vinyl door with "vaccum sealed" glass for energy conservation. Do I need to know anything else before I decide on a door? Any feedback (postive or negative) on a particular door type? An andersen costs 700-1000. A American Craftsman costs 400.
