You could go outside but underground as well. As for interior you may be better served by talking to drywallers than electricians. Easiest way may be to remove some drywall to allow drilling studs then patch it up. Or you could install tall baseboards - Remove you existing baseboards, cut back enough drywall to access stud cavities, drill/fish wires, install new, taller baseboards over the mess created.
