Getting RE Agents to work with FSBO

I'm currently selling my townhouse in NJ. I have a couple of friends who have sold their homes by owner over the winter, both of the have done so by paying 1 1/2 - 2% commissions to RE Agents who brought them qualified buyers. My house was under contract for a month until everything fell apart. I put it back on the market few days ago and of course getting tons of calls from RE Agents. None of them are willing to just receive buying agents commision, they are ONLY interested in me listing with them, which I'm not ready to do yet. I have had multiple offers before and I choose the best buyer, but he pulled out due to unforseeable circumstances. Why are the agents so against just getting a buyers commision? Wouldn't it be the same if they sold a house listed by someone else? . |
