The key question to all this is how much are you going to save by being the general contractor and do you know what you're doing? Having sub contractors showing up late is one thing. Having them over charge you or do the work incorrectly is a far greater problem. There are all kinds of ways these guys can screw you, either intentionally or unintentionally, because you don't know what the proper work flow is, what to look out for or if the work was done correctly. That can quickly eat up any cost savings. . |
