Sump Pump Issues...

We have a sump pump in our basement that stays quite active until early/mid summer. Drain tile around the base of the house, and beaver system as well (which I rarely ever see water coming out of, it's the pipe from the drain tile around the house that always pours water into the sump pit). It runs about every 5 minutes from thaw (MN) until June/July. Slows down eventually, but for 2-3 months it's quite active. Normally dry in the winter depending on how cold it is. We recently had our septic upgraded to a mound system, and moved to the other side of the yard. That means our old septic and drainfield are no longer used. I made the mistake of having the collapse the old septic tank, and thinking now it would have made a great drywell. :) But, I still have the old drainfield where I now pump the water.
