hot water circulation pump running all the time?

I recently noticed that the circulation pump on my baseboard hot water heat system is running all the time... even when no zones are "on." I don't recall it behaving like that before. Does anyone have an idea whether it is *probably* a faulty circulation pump switch, or a faulty zone switch? I noticed that one of the four zone switches had been replaced about 2 years ago, and the others are about 20 yrs old. But, the zones all appear to shut down and not circulate the water when the thermostats are set low. So, I can't figure out why the circ pump continues to run.... d . |
