"Man you are a true asshole. Thanks for the reply. " Yeah, that about sums up that reply. I don't see anything that unusual about the OP's story or situation or that he did anything wrong. Seems like this could happen to anyone and I wouldn't be surprised if it happened even with a lawyer involved, as the exclusion would have to have been somehow written to cover this. Unless you knew it upfront, I doubt a std exclusions clause would have covered it. You also should have pursued this not only with the real estate agent, but also the actual owner of the firm. What they are doing is clearly wrong and unethical. Here's a question. Was it still listed with the skunk realtor when the guy/girlfriend came back? If not, he shouldn't have any claim. Or you could let the listing run out before doing the deal with the guy/girlfriend. As for backing out of the deal for $1000, it didn't |
