I like the metal insert chimneys as they don';t hold creosote and they are easy to clean. Ask the dealer if he will cover the cost of fire damage if after he installs the chimney you have a fire. I have heard of a cast iron insert torching an existing chimney. Chimneys are or can be very good sources of fire fuel if they are not cleaned.
