The MOST COMMON kind of policy is indeed the lender's policy. Almost ANY mortgage deal that came from any kind of bank or finance company, will require this coverage, so that's most purchases. And the Buyer pays for his lender's policy as part of what is req'd to get the loan. The Buyer can pay extra to have himself covered also, but many Buyers don't bother.
